2027 Important Dates and Deadlines
December 18th, 2026 – Scholarship applications close
January 22nd, 2026 – Registration opens at 8:00am MST! (Virtual tickets are nonrefundable. Partial refunds for in-person tickets or conference add-ons available through March 20th and ONLY by emailing the registration team), First Chapter Contest opens for entries (all entries non-refundable)
January 22nd-24th, 2027 – Early Bird Discount! In-person conference $265. After January 24th, in-person conference $315.
March 6th, 2027 – First Chapter Contest deadline (all entries non-refundable)
March 20th, 2027 – Registration ends for Agents/Editors consults, Premise & Plot Chats, and the First Pages Thursday Workshops. Manuscript pages/queries due for Agents/Editor consults and Premise & Plot Chats. Last day for a partial refund for conference and workshops.
March 30th, 2027 – Group assignments/submission instructions sent out for Thursday Workshops
April 11th, 2027 – First pages due for First Pages Thursday Workshop
April 19th, 2027 – First pages given to instructors and members for First Pages Thursday Workshop
April 24th, 2027 – Registration ends for the full conference, Thursday Workshops (except First Pages), and Intensives. No refunds on Conference Registration or any other add-ons including intensives.
May 13-15th, 2027 – Storymakers conference!
August 13th, 2027 – Last day to watch virtual classes
